The mission of the CRITBIZ program is the strategic development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Northwest region (Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Cluj, Maramureș, Sălaj, and Satu Mare counties) in the creative industries and IT sectors by creating a network of professional collaboration and support communities. To this end, we will provide entrepreneurial training to at least 400 participants from the region and select 48 sustainable business plans for funding of up to 40,000 euros. The principles that define the CRITBIZ program are social innovation, equality, accessibility, sustainability, and the efficient use of resources. By establishing new, innovative businesses, we are working together to contribute to the region’s economic growth, create new jobs, the inclusion of young people, the unemployed, and all those interested in entrepreneurship, the promotion of women’s entrepreneurship, and environmental protection through sustainable development—thereby bringing about a shift in perspectives.

Creative industries: those economic activities that involve the generation or exploitation of knowledge and information (creating economic value (profit) through intellectual property). Alternatively, they are referred to as cultural industries or sectors of the creative economy: advertising, architecture, art, crafts, design, fashion, film, music, the performing arts, publishing, research and development, software, games and toys, TV & radio, and video games.

Information and Telecommunications Technology: the technology required for the handling (acquisition, processing, storage, conversion, and transmission) of information, particularly through the use of computers in various fields related to data and information, such as: processors, computers, hardware and software, programming languages, data structures, and others (data management, computer hardware construction, software design, and information systems administration).
