The project was designed to contribute to achieving the program’s specific objective of increasing employment in the eligible area through an integrated intervention targeting the creative industries sector in the BHB cross-border region. The project addressed major structural issues identified in this field: a shortage of entrepreneurial skills, the lack of a coherent identity and marketing strategy, low consumer interest, the limited number of value-added products, as well as the lack of adequate infrastructure for collaboration, production, and networking.
Structure of the Intervention
1. Creating Support Infrastructure – Makerspace and Coworking
As part of the project, two spaces dedicated to the creative industries were established and equipped:
- a Makerspace equipped for prototyping, manufacturing, and testing creative, value-added products;
- a coworking space designed for collaboration, networking, and developing business ideas.
These spaces provide professionals in the creative industries with access to specialized equipment, modern infrastructure, and an environment conducive to innovation and collaboration.
2. Skills Development – Training and Workshops
The project included workshops and entrepreneurial training sessions for professionals in the creative industries, with a focus on:
- developing entrepreneurial and business skills;
- branding, targeted marketing, and market positioning;
- the development of creative, value-added products;
- efficient use of resources and cost optimization.
These activities have supported both the consolidation of existing businesses and the launch of new entrepreneurial ventures.
3. Shared Identity and Promotion Tools
A shared BHB brand has been developed, with linguistically and culturally adapted messages, as well as a platform dedicated to the creative industries, which facilitates the promotion of operators, connects them with markets and consumers, and fosters the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
4. Mentoring and Ongoing Support
In addition to the initial training sessions, the project provided ongoing mentoring, networking, and knowledge-sharing opportunities, supporting the medium- and long-term development of entrepreneurial skills and initiatives in the creative sector.
