Creating Digital Content for Energy Efficiency in Buildings – nZEB
Register nowWhy attend?
If you work in architectural design or engineering and want to understand how to design buildings that comply with the nZEB standard, this course provides you with the digital tools you need to work professionally, systematically, and efficiently.
The nZEB course will be conducted in an interactive setting, combining traditional teaching methods with modern ones. Each module will begin with theoretical presentations, followed by practical exercises using VR headsets and software designed for architects and designers;
About the nZEB (“nearly zero energy building”) standard
Effective December 31, 2020, all newly constructed private buildings—whether single-family homes, multifamily apartment buildings, office buildings, or other types of spaces—for which final inspection upon completion of construction is conducted based on an issued building permit—must comply with the nZEB standard.
The formal definition is provided by the European Commission and was transposed into our legislation through Law No. 101/2020. Thus, the concept of a Near Zero Energy Building (nZEB) has been translated into Romanian as “a building whose energy consumption is nearly zero.”
According to the law, this is “a building with very high energy performance, where the energy required to ensure that energy performance is nearly zero or very low, and at least 30% of that requirement is met by energy from renewable sources, including energy from renewable sources produced on-site or nearby, within a 30-kilometer radius of the building’s GPS coordinates, starting in 2021.”
