Course description:

The Basic First Aid course provides participants with complete and practical training in providing first aid in various emergency situations. Structured in 15 modules, the course addresses fundamental and practical aspects of providing first aid, in accordance with legislation and ethical standards in the field.

The topics covered in the course are:

  • Module 1 begins by exploring the legislation applicable to basic first aid and the associated ethical-legal aspects, ensuring a clear understanding of the legal frameworks and responsibilities involved in providing first aid.
  • Module 2 provides an introduction to the emergency medical system and presents general first aid concepts, including the basic principles of pre-hospital first aid, preparing participants for emergency situations.
  • In Module 3 and Module 4, participants are familiar with the notions of anatomy and physiology of the airways, circulatory system, as well as topographical anatomy and physiology of the locomotor system, essential knowledge for understanding the mechanisms of the human body in emergency situations.
  • Module 5 and Module 6 focus on basic life support in adults, children, infants and newborns, including the chain of survival and essential life-sustaining actions in an emergency.
  • Special situations in cardiopulmonary resuscitation are discussed in Module 7, preparing participants to manage complex cases and unexpected situations.
  • Recognizing and treating airway obstruction in different age groups is addressed in Module 8, providing participants with the knowledge and skills to intervene promptly and effectively.
  • Soft tissue trauma, osteo-articular trauma and burns are topics covered in Module 9, Module 10 and Module 11, providing participants with a comprehensive and practical understanding of the management of various types of traumas.
  • Module 12 focuses on the management of burns and first aid in such situations, including the prevention of further complications.
  • Emergency handling of motorcycle and car accidents is covered in Module 13, providing participants with the necessary knowledge to act promptly and effectively in road emergencies.
  • Module 14 and Module 15 explore semi-automated defibrillation and team cardiopulmonary resuscitation with specific equipment, teaching participants to use technologies correctly and act in a coordinated manner in critical situations. This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively respond to an emergency and save lives.

 

At the end of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of participation in the course.
