The Inclusive Apprenticeships project, supported by Erasmus+ (KA220-VET), unites five partners from four European countries to promote social inclusion in vocational education and training (VET). The initiative aims to enhance VET’s attractiveness and innovation by improving the support provided by businesses to apprentices from disadvantaged backgrounds through work-based learning (WBL).

Objectives

The project focuses on developing an innovative, multilingual training programme for VET company mentors. This programme will equip mentors with the skills to support apprentices with fewer opportunities. By training 120 mentors from Romania, Austria, and Bulgaria, the project aims to directly benefit over 240 apprentices while creating an evidence base to demonstrate how inclusive practices can make VET more relevant to diverse societal needs.

Key Outputs

The project will deliver a multilingual e-learning platform for the training programme, offering free and open access to resources for WBL mentors. It will also host an international multiplier event to share results with 100 participants. Additionally, three focus groups with VET stakeholders and case studies will validate and showcase the effectiveness of this inclusive approach. Through these actions, Inclusive Apprenticeships seeks to foster social inclusion, empower mentors, and elevate the role of VET in addressing societal challenges.
