These economic activities are the driving force behind a sustainable economy in the long term; the creation of innovative startups at the regional level serves as a powerful tool for regional and\/or national players to adapt to the conditions of global economic competition. This raises the pressing issue of qualified personnel\u2014or, in other words, those who can or must become entrepreneurs in the creative and IT industries.  <\/p>\n<p>Our empirical study is intended to serve as a useful tool for identifying and describing target groups that can contribute to the establishment of firms in these strategic sectors. The structure of the text is as follows: in the first part of the article, we will present the main concepts and terms used in the literature as analytical tools that capture and address the issues under discussion. We will provide the basic definitions, after which we will place within a theoretical context the approaches through which the specialized literature addresses the topic at hand. After a brief overview of entrepreneurship in general within the IT and IC sectors, we will move on to the second part of the study, which statistically analyzes the socio-demographic profile of entrepreneurs in the field: We will examine population size, educational attainment, gender, age, necessary qualities, and data regarding the broader social context in which IT and IC activities take place (motivations, opinions about factors that facilitate economic success).   <\/p>\n<p>In the final section of this article, based on qualitative data, we will present the main segments that represent the primary target groups for entrepreneurship in the IT and IC sectors.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/rove.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Studiu_Potentiali-Antreprenori.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the context of local economies that are increasingly connected to the global corporate economy\u2014which is rapidly becoming a knowledge-based economy in which physical capital plays a secondary role\u2014the creative industries are taking on strategic importance.
