PROJECT TITLE
Inclusive Apprenticeships for Sustainable Jobs
Implementation period: January 2024 – December 2025
Funding: Erasmus+
Applicant: Fundația Centrul de Resurse pentru Educație și Formare Profesională (CREFOP)
Partners: Association for Business Promotion in Romania (ROVE)

The initiative aims to increase the appeal and innovation of vocational education and training (VET) by improving the support that companies provide to apprentices from disadvantaged backgrounds through work-based learning (WBL).

Objectives

  • The project aims to develop an innovative, multilingual training program for mentors in VET companies. This program will equip mentors with the skills needed to support apprentices with fewer opportunities. By training 120 mentors from Romania, Austria, and Bulgaria, the project aims to directly support over 240 apprentices and create a database demonstrating how inclusive practices can make VET more relevant to diverse social needs.

Key Findings:

The project will develop a multilingual e-learning platform for the training program, providing free and open access to resources for WBL mentors. It will also organize an international event for 100 participants to disseminate the results. Three focus groups with VET stakeholders and case studies will validate and highlight the effectiveness of this inclusive approach.

Through these initiatives, Inclusive Apprenticeships aims to promote social inclusion, support mentors, and enhance the role of VET in addressing societal challenges.
