Sub-activity: Awarding grants (micro-grants) for the establishment of new businesses, implemented by the Municipality of Diosig through the Association for Business Promotion in Romania (ROVE)

Through the Diosig Integrated Local Development Project, 25 people from Diosig were each set to receive 25,000 euros to start small businesses. A fitness center, a fast-food restaurant, an international transportation company, and a metalworking firm were the first businesses to be funded through the EU-funded program implemented by local authorities. The objective of the project carried out by the local administration in Diosig is to reduce the number of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion within the marginalized Roma community in the commune of Diosig by providing integrated services covering all areas of life, including education, employment, the development and provision of medical, social, and socio-medical services, the improvement of housing conditions, the provision of legal assistance for document processing, and the fight against discrimination and the promotion of multiculturalism.
